Welcome to last year’s Chapters Party 2020 Portal.
Since 1985, the ACM SIGGRAPH Professional and Student Chapters Committee have traditionally organized a party on the first evening of the SIGGRAPH Conference.
The Chapters of the world were hard at work to make sure the party went on, for all tastes and styles. We also showcased parties and events from other ACM SIGGRAPH Committees. Attendees from around the world could browse and join the rooms that sparked their interest!
This was the 30th Occurrence and 35th Anniversary of the ACM SIGGRAPH Chapters Party. The first Virtual one!

We will go through different poses and lengths to get everyone warmed up and get our creativity and artistic drive up during difficult times.

You wake up in a strange room. You look around and see the other members of yourCIA investigative team who were recently assigned a mission to track down the infamous assassin named, “The Gamer.” He is known for toying with and disposing of those who attempt to catch him. He has never failed to carry out any of his hired assignments and is widely considered the most dangerous assassin alive. He considers his opponent’s pawns that can be sacrificed in his game. The last thing you remember is going to sleep the night before. When you awaken, you are stuck in a room with your team with a timer counting down the seconds. What does that mean? Can you figure out where you are, why you are there and a way out before the clock hits zero? Will you be the next pawn sacrificed?

The Bogota ACM Siggraph chapter invites you practice your moves and swing with a true Latin party.
With both traditional and dance music, and a romantic live performance with Colombian soprano singer, choral conductor and pianist Claudia Avila, while sketching and drawing some of the most mystical and mighty animals from the legends that have lived for centuries hidden in the heart of the Colombian tropical rainforest.

Download the Kahoot! App in advance from Google Play, Apple App Store, or Microsoft AppSource depending on your operating system.
Join us on Thursday, 8/27 at 6 pm PCT for online trivia. There will be 4 individual rounds of 15-18 questions covering an array of topics with a winner each round. Answer the questions as quick as possible for additional points. Question types vary between a single selection, multi-selection, and arranging the answers in order.

User names will be assigned colours so others can immediately tell if you’re an artist, compositor etc. And as you browse the server content add reaction emojis custom made for this event.
There’ll be channels for you to converse with others about what you’ve been doing at the conference via text, or try chat-based activities and Zoom-like chat with video.
Listen to playlists of all LA musicians, and while listening to some “Foster the People”, “Jane’s Addiction”, or “Katy Perry”, check out the LA artists channel with amazing art done in the city that gave the world the Low-Brow art movement.
